Senior Care Lifestyles is a senior advisory and placement service offering families step-by-step assistance in making care plan decisions for loved ones. Deborah Bakalich is a Certified Senior Advisor® and Certified Dementia Practitioner that provides guidance and recommendations to families faced with the decision to transition a loved one into Independent Living, Assisted Living, Dementia/Alzheimer’s Care, Skilled Nursing, Respite or a Retirement Community. Deborah’s role as a Senior Advisor saves families the time, cost, and often the stress involved with navigating through the maze of information, including state, federal and veteran aid assistance programs and narrowing down the housing options available. She will meet with the senior and their family to understand the individual care needs of the senior including medical, personal lifestyle preferences, budget and desired geographic location. Deborah will discuss an action plan and housing options with the family, schedule appointments for tours, accompany families on the tour and assist in the process of selecting the best community and home that meets the ongoing needs of the senior. She will also provide the family with trustworthy and reputable industry experts if needed to assist with organizing, packing, moving, sale of real estate, estate planning and legal services. The goal of Senior Care Lifestyles is to be a one stop shop … “To help families make educated, informed and safe lifestyle choices for their loved one…. the first time”!

Our newest satisfied client!
Sheldon is an independent 84 year old senior that reached out to Senior Care Lifestyles in March to assist him in moving from his current assisted living home in New Jersey to Maryland as he wished to be closer to his only relative, a sister in law living in D.C. Sheldon drove himself to the New Jersey train station to take a train to BWI Airport where he was met by Teresa Grant, Senior Placement Coordinator who had scheduled a full day of touring. Sheldon picked out a new one bedroom apartment at the first assisted living community he toured and then we quickly went to work to coordinate his 30 day move in. Teresa reached out to his medical team in New Jersey to get all the paperwork required by the assisted living community in Maryland, arranged for his belongings to be packed up and transported to his new home, and then greeted him at the BWI train station to escort him to his new assisted living! When he arrived, he was greeted in the lobby by the entire care team that welcomed him with clapping hands, music, and dancing. Sheldon danced his way through the lobby to the elevator to his new home. He is now settled in and loves his spacious one bedroom apartment and the new friends he is meeting. Senior Care Lifestyles goes above and beyond to provide the best possible care and transition services for all our clients. We are here to help!
Good Fit
Well, Debbie was a good fit from the beginning in my quest to find appropriate and dignified care for my 83 year old male neighbor. Debbie has a wonderful bank of resources, personal knowledge and experience to be able to provide a client such as my neighbor very unique and personal care. Her initial questions and interview provided her the specifics and range of needs my neighbor required in an assisted living facility. Debbie had immediate answers, suggestions and direction. My neighbor is now newly placed in a welcoming and bright facility where his needs will be surely met respectfully. I am ever so grateful. If you are struggling alone in placing a loved one in a retirement, assisted living, memory care or other care facility I highly recommend contacting Debbie. She’ll take the lead and be by your side throughout the process — and beyond.
Truly a one-stop service
Senior Care Lifestyles is truly a one-stop service that assisted my sisters and me through the entire care planning process. I do not know what I would have done without their help when the rehab social worker told me my mother could not return to her home. I was thrown into making a life-altering decision for my mother that I knew would change all of our lives—one I was not prepared to make. The social worker gave me a Senior Care Lifestyles card, and I called immediately, not knowing what to expect. Deborah answered the phone, and within minutes of talking to her, I felt my blood pressure lower, and I was breathing more regularly. We laughed a little bit, and I was not feeling so overwhelmed anymore. She asked questions and then quickly put a plan together for us, discussed the options, the costs, and all the processes and paperwork involved, which most would be handled by the rehab social worker. She took control over a chaotic situation, and the next day we were touring communities and decided on the first one. It is a perfect fit for my mother, who loves to do art and play bingo and has met some new friends. My family is so grateful and cannot say enough great things about Senior Care Lifestyles and the services they provide.
